Pears in White Wine

Pears in White Wine are the perfect dessert to end a heavy dinner, where dessert is a must. Pears are a fruit that everyone loves, serve them in white wine.

  • 1 1/2 liters white wine
  • 500 grams sugar
  • cinnamon powder
  • 2 vanilla bean
  • 1 clove
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 orange, the skin
  • 10 pears, without skin
  • star anise pods
  • cinnamon sticks, for decoration

  • Heat the sugar until it melts, add the lemon juice and spices. Stir to combine everything and add the white wine.
  • Add the pears (without skin) to the syrup, cover, and let simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
  • Let the pears cool.
  • To serve, place one pear on a plate and decorate with a cinnamon stick.
