Gansito Tamal

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups corn masa flour, , for tamal
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 4 Marinela® Gansito, (50 g each)
  • 8 corn husks, soaked
  • chocolate sprinkles

  • Beat the butter with the sugar until smooth, add the flour, baking powder, and gradually add the milk. Beat until you have a homogeneous and semi-liquid dough.
  • Cut the Gansitos Marinela® in half.
  • Pour a tablespoon of dough onto a soaked tamal leaf and spread it out. Place half of a Gansito Marinela® in the center, cover with more dough, and wrap it like a tamal.
  • Place the tamales in a steamer with hot water and cook for 40 minutes, let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve and decorate with chocolate sprinkles.
