Gingerbread Cupcakes

Gingerbread cupcakes are a different and delicious option compared to classic muffins. They are cupcakes flavored with gingerbread and topped with a delicious vanilla frosting.

  • 2 tablespoons ginger powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons clove powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 4 cups icing sugar
  • 1/2 cups cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups whipping cream

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Mix the flour with the spices, salt, and baking powder.
  • In a mixing bowl, soften the butter and gradually add the sugar, then add the eggs one by one.
  • Add the molasses, vanilla, and gradually incorporate the flour mixture.
  • Place the batter in cupcake liners inside a cupcake mold.
  • Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
  • For the frosting, place the cream cheese in the mixer and gradually add the sifted powdered sugar.
  • Add the whipping cream and vanilla.
  • Place the frosting in a pastry bag fitted with a star tip and decorate the cupcakes.
