Guava Honey Fritters

Fritters are typical of this holiday season, and these crispy and spectacular fritters will delight you; they are very easy to make, and when dipped in guava honey, they will simply melt in your mouth.

  • 3/4 cups guava, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 sticks cinnamon
  • 2 star anise pods
  • 2 tablespoons Splenda sugar Blend®
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water, fry
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • Mix the guava, water, cinnamon, anise, and Splenda Sugar Blend® in a pot. Bring to a boil.
  • Add the starch to the cold water until completely dissolved and add to the guava mixture, stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • With the help of a rolling pin, roll out the dough discs for the fritters until they are thin and fry in hot oil until golden, absorbing the fat with paper towels.
  • Serve the fritters with the guava honey.
