Guayabate al Piloncillo

This Guayabate al Piloncillo is a delicious dessert made with Guava and sweetened with Piloncillo, and it is also very economical and easy to prepare.

  • 1 kilo guava
  • 1/2 kilos piloncillo , grated
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • Wash the guavas thoroughly, place them in a container and mash them until you obtain a puree, then strain through a sieve.
  • In a saucepan, place the puree and the piloncillo, mix thoroughly.
  • Place the saucepan over low heat, stirring the mixture constantly with a wooden spatula.
  • Let it boil until you can see the bottom of the saucepan and remove the saucepan from the heat.
  • Grease a baking tray with butter and place small balls of the previous mixture on it, and when it cools down, roll them in sugar.
