Homemade Banana and Walnut Cake

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 bananas
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cups plain yogurt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons REXAL® baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C.
  • Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy, add the mashed banana, then add the eggs one at a time, the yoghurt, and beat for 5 minutes.
  • Add the flour, baking soda, Rexal® baking powder, salt, and walnuts, continue beating until combined.
  • Pour the previous mixture into a previously greased and floured loaf pan, bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool completely and remove from the pan.
