Homemade Cajeta

You never thought you could make homemade cajeta, but here is an easy and delicious recipe. The best consistency and, above all, the best flavor. Perfect to accompany with whatever you like most.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 90 grams butter, without salt
  • 3 cups Lala® evaporated milk
  • 1 cup Lala® table cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • Melt the sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat until you obtain a light caramel. Add the butter and mix with a wooden spatula.
  • Add LALA® Evaporated Milk with LALA® Half Cream and the vanilla, mix, and cook for 20 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  • Let it cool and pour it into a container. Refrigerate.
