Homemade Cajeta and Walnut Crepes

This recipe is for delicious homemade cajeta and walnut crepes for you to enjoy with your whole family. They are perfect to make with your little ones. Pair them with a good coffee or a cappuccino, and if you like, add strawberries or banana.

  • 250 grams flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 envelope sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 liters whole milk
  • 50 grams butter

  • Pour the flour into a bowl and gradually add, using a whisk, the milk, eggs, salt, and sugar.
  • The batter should be smooth but not thick.
  • We let it rest for 5 minutes, then we grease a medium pan with butter and wait for it to heat over medium heat.
  • To make the first crepe, we pour a ladle of batter and spread it to cover the entire bottom of the pan.
  • Once the bottom layer of the crepe is golden, about 1 minute on low heat, we lift it with a spatula and flip it to brown the other side.
  • We must repeat the process of greasing the pan with butter for each crepe.
  • Once the crepe is ready, we fold it in half and spread cajeta on that half.
  • Then, it is folded in half again, resulting in a triangular shape.
  • To serve, place the crepe on a plate, pour more cajeta on top so that it surrounds the crepe, and then add walnuts on top.
