Homemade Matzah

Prepare this easy homemade matzah or unleavened bread, traditional Jewish food consumed during the Pesach festival, which commemorates the liberation of the Hebrew people from the Egyptians. It is currently eaten in various ways, as a side dish or dessert. Here we present a delicious version with chocolate and nuts that you will love.

  • 1 cup matza flour
  • water
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup caramel, smooth
  • salt, kosher
  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cups dark chocolate, in chips
  • 1/4 cups almonds, chopped

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • In a bowl, mix the matzah flour and water until you obtain a dough.
  • Roll out the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to a thickness of 1 mm. Cut into large rectangles and poke with a fork.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until crispy and golden. Remove from the oven, cool, and set aside.
  • Melt the white chocolate, dark chocolate, and soft candies separately in the microwave for 30-second intervals.
  • Cover one matzah with dark chocolate and sprinkle with coarse salt. Cover another with white chocolate and sprinkle with pistachios and blueberries. Drizzle melted caramel over another and add chocolate chips, spreading with a spatula until mixed, and decorate with chopped almonds.
  • Let it dry, break it, and enjoy.
