113 grams unsalted butter , or margarine
100 grams vegetable shortening
500 grams powdered sugar
1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
2 tablespoons cow's milk

Mix the shortening with the butter.
Add the vanilla.
Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar. When all the sugar is well mixed, the icing will have a dry appearance.
Add the milk and continue beating.
Store in the fridge, in a closed container, when not in use. It can be stored for up to 2 weeks.
