Jam-Filled Cookies

Use this recipe to make delicious Butter Cookies filled with Jam, which you can choose in your preferred flavor. They are special for Christmas, but you can also prepare them at any time of the year.

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups wheat flour, sifted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond essence
  • jam, of any flavor for the filling
  • icing sugar

  • Beat the butter with the sugar, the egg, and the essence.
  • Gradually mix in the flour until a smooth dough forms that can be rolled out.
  • Roll it out thinly and cut it into round shapes, pairing them with the same size with a hole in the middle (it is recommended to use cookie cutters).
  • Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 8 minutes.
  • The bases are spread with jam and the tops with powdered sugar.
  • It is recommended to add the jam to these cookies only on the day they are to be eaten to prevent them from becoming soggy.
