Mango Gelatin with Hibiscus Sauce

An ideal dessert for mango season. Here we present a recipe that combines the delicious sweet flavor of mango with the tangy and delicious flavor of hibiscus. Perfect for those hot days.

  • 2 manila mangoes, diced
  • 1/2 cans condensed milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin powder, (30 grams)
  • 1 cup hibiscus flower
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cups sugar

  • Place the mango and sweetened condensed milk in a blender. Blend until everything is incorporated. Strain the mixture.
  • Dissolve the gelatin in half a glass of hot water, whisk vigorously. Add the remaining water. Pour the gelatin into the mango milk mixture. Pour into a mold and refrigerate for two hours.
  • Place water and hibiscus in a pot. Bring to a boil for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture and return the liquid to the pot.
  • Incorporate the sugar and stir constantly. Once it has thickened, remove from heat. Pour the sauce over the gelatin once it has cooled.
