Raspberry and Rose Petal Gelatin

Prepare this raspberry gelatin with the special and different touch of rose petals; these infuse the gelatin with an unusual and delicious fragrance. Since the sweet flavor of roses makes this gelatin something special. Try it, you won’t regret it.

  • 2 3/4 cups water, boiling
  • 3 packages raspberry gelatin
  • 1 cup rose petals, dried
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup whipped cream

  • Add the water to the powdered gelatin and the rose petals; stir for 2 minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Cover with plastic wrap. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Strain and discard the petals.
  • Pour 1-1/2 cups of gelatin into a 6-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until the gelatin is set but not firm. Meanwhile, let the remaining gelatin sit at room temperature.
  • Mix the remaining gelatin with the milk. Carefully pour this over the layer of gelatin in the mold. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until firm. Unmold the dessert onto a serving platter. Serve with whipped cream.
