Lemon Pie with Cream Cheese

  • 1 stick cream cheese
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 9 limes
  • 3 packages María cookies

  • Cut and squeeze the lemons into a cup or container.
  • Whip or blend the evaporated milk with the condensed milk and the cream cheese until fully combined.
  • Incorporate the lemon juice while continuing to whip.
  • In a baking dish, place a layer of cookies, pour a little of the mixture on top using a spatula, add another layer of María cookies and pour more of the mixture, and so on until the dish is full; the last layer should be the mixture.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12 hours.
  • Another option is to crush the María cookies instead of using them whole, adding a cup of melted butter, and mixing until a paste forms. Grease the baking dish with butter and press the cookie paste evenly into the dish using a spoon, then pour the complete mixture over this and refrigerate for 12 hours.
