Meringues with Strawberries

These Meringues with Strawberries are the perfect end to a meal, as they are light, delicious and very easy to prepare with this recipe of pastry.

  • 5 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 1/8 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1/4 cups icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons walnuts
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • strawberries, slices to decorate
  • leaves peppermint, (a few leaves) to decorate

  • Heat oven to 275ºF. Cover a baking tray with waxed paper, mark a circle about 20 cms and put oil spray like Pam.
  • In a large bowl beat the whites and salt with the blender in the strongest, until soft peaks form. Sprinkle the tartar cream and the icing sugar little by little. Put vanilla and beat a little more. Gently incorporate the nuts wrapping
  • Remove from the paper and put on the plate on top whipped cream with a little sugar and garnish with strawberries and mint leaves.
