This recipe for Mrs. Fields Type Cookies is delicious and tastes much better fresh out of the oven; you can swap the chocolate for nuts, almonds, or any ingredient of your choice.
2 1/2 cups oats, blended (measure the oats first and then blend)
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tablespoons salt
1 stick chocolate, frozen grated Hershey's 4 oz
2 eggs
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon liquid vanilla
1 1/2 cups nut , crushed (if desired)

Sift the two sugars 3 times. Beat the butter until creamy and add the sugars. Add the eggs one by one and the vanilla.
Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder 3 times. Mix the flour, salt, powder, oats, and soda with the previously beaten butter mixture, add the chips, the chopped chocolate bar, and the nuts.
Make small balls and place them 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 185°C or 375°F, and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
