No-Bake Orange Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, for the cake (at room temperature)
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar, for the cake
  • 10 eggs, for the cake
  • 1 orange, in zest
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence, for the cake
  • 2 cups flour, for the cake
  • 2 teaspoons REXAL® baking powder, for the cake
  • 1 cup icing sugar, for the frosting
  • 3 tablespoons cow's milk, for the frosting

  • In a mixer on medium speed, beat the butter with the sugar until combined, add the eggs one at a time while continuing to beat, the orange zest, vanilla extract, flour, REXAL® baking powder, and continue mixing until you have a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour into a previously greased and floured cake pan, cover with aluminum foil, and cook in a water bath on the stove for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool and unmold.
  • For the frosting, using a whisk, mix the powdered sugar with the milk. It should result in a thick mixture.
  • Cover the cake with the frosting and decorate with orange slices and zest.
