Nopal Cake

This recipe is different and delicious, try the cactus cake, it has a very special flavor.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 200 grams butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups nopal, cooked without salt
  • 1/4 cups Tequila
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 3/4 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 200 grams bittersweet chocolate
  • 200 grams whipping cream

  • We will first liquefy the eggs, the nopales, the condensed milk and the tequila for a minute with the idea that it is a spongy mixture and we reserve.
  • On the other hand we will beat the butter with the sugar until it sponges.
  • We will add the liquefied little by little, once it is well mixed we will add the nut and surround the sifted flour with the baking powder.
  • This mixture will bake in a greased and floured bowl for about 45 minutes at 180 degrees.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool.
  • To decorate it, let's melt the chocolate with the cream to beat.
  • We will bathe the cake with the mixture.
