Orange Pie

This orange pie recipe is perfect for dessert time.

  • 3 cups wheat flour, Sifted
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

  • Preheat the oven to 175 °C (350 °F). Grease a mold.
  • Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside.
  • Mix the sugar, egg yolks, salt, baking powder, orange zest, flour, and orange juice until a uniform batter is obtained.
  • Fold the whipped egg whites into the uniform mixture gently, pour the batter into a mold, and bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Remove the mold from the oven immediately to prevent sticking and let it cool.
