1/2 cups butter
1/2 cups butter, of peanut
1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cups raw sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1/2 cups granulated sugar, white for decorating

Preheat the oven to 190 C.
Sift the flour together with the baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a bowl, cream the butter with the peanut butter, 1/2 cup of white sugar, and powdered sugar until smooth.
Add the egg and beat well, then incorporate the vanilla.
Gradually add the sifted ingredients, mixing until you have a manageable dough.
Shape into balls of 3 centimeters in diameter and roll in the remaining sugar.
Place the balls, separated by 5 cm from each other, on ungreased baking sheets.
Lightly press with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven.
Let cool for a few minutes on the sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
