Delicious apple pie that has been passed down in my family for generations.

500 grams puff pastry
5 red apples
3/4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoons nutmeg
250 milliliters sour cream
1 egg yolk

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
Peel the apples and slice them thinly.
Mix the sugar, spices, and cream together with the apples.
Divide the dough into 2 parts and roll it out to cover the 9-inch round Pyrex dish.
Add the apple mixture.
Roll out the remaining dough and cut it into strips.
Braid them and place them on top to cover the dish and the mixture.
Brush with the egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly golden.
