Classic Pumpkin Pie

It is the classic American pumpkin pie, often made on Thanksgiving Day.

  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 2 eggs, large
  • 425 grams pumpkin purée, pure
  • 1 can evaporated milk

  • Mix the sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in a small bowl.
  • Beat the eggs in a large bowl.
  • Add the pumpkin puree mixture and sugar. Gradually add the evaporated milk. Pour into a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Bake in the oven. Preheat the oven to 218°C for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce the temperature to 176°C, bake for 40-50 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool on a wire rack for 2 hours.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate.
