  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 125 grams unsalted butter , melted
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 can condensed milk , (397 milliliters)
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

  • For the dough: Mix the flour with the baking powder, add the melted butter, the egg, and the sugar to form a soft and smooth dough. Then, roll out the dough in a mold and place it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10 minutes or until the edges look slightly golden.
  • For the filling: Mix all the ingredients (sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and egg yolks) until you achieve a thick, uniform liquid. Pour over the baked dough and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  • For the meringue: Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and add 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Cover the pie with this meringue and bake for another 5 minutes. Serve cold.
