Apple Nut Cake

This recipe is very delicious and easy; the combination of apple and nut is exquisite.

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • nutmeg powder, to taste
  • 5 tablespoons cow's milk
  • 2 eggs , batter
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 75 grams nut , chopped. Set aside 12 nuts for decoration.
  • 200 grams flour
  • 2.5 tablespoons coffee
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 125 grams cream cheese
  • 50 grams Gloria® unsalted butter, softened
  • 250 grams powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon cow's milk , at room temperature

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC, heat from above and below (I do it with a fan).
  • In a bowl, combine the oil, beaten eggs, sugar, cinnamon, coffee, nutmeg, grated apple, and gently mix.
  • Next, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt, and add it to the bowl; finally, incorporate the apple pieces and tablespoons of milk and mix.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the oven (they will be ready when a toothpick inserted comes out clean). Let cool for 5 minutes in the mold and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • To make the frosting, mix in a bowl the cream cheese, butter, flavoring, milk, and one-third of the powdered sugar and beat until combined; gradually add the remaining sugar and mix until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Decorate to taste; in this case, I used an open nozzle and garnished with nuts.
