Napolitano Cake

This is a basic and simple cake recipe, prepared to resemble a napolitano ice cream, as it will be vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate.

  • 500 grams wheat flour, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 225 grams Gloria® butter unsalted butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 7 tablespoons jam, strawberry or whichever you prefer
  • 1 stick couverture chocolate
  • 6 eggs
  • red food coloring, yellow needed amount
  • ice creams, napolitano to taste

  • Flour the mold and preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Combine the baking powder and flour. Cream the butter with the sugar and the eggs one at a time. Add the flour mixture and beat until you have a homogeneous mixture.
  • Divide the mixture into 3 equal parts; to the first add vanilla and two drops of yellow food coloring, to the second part, add strawberry jam and two drops of yellow food coloring, stir well.
  • To the third part of the mixture, add the chocolate coating bar (melted in the microwave); this can be substituted with 5 tablespoons of cocoa powder and two tablespoons of milk or a splash of liquid chocolate syrup, stir well.
  • Pour the three mixtures into the mold one by one and bake at 180° C for approximately 45 minutes.
  • Let cool, unmold, and serve with napolitano ice cream.
