Coconut and Vanilla Cake

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 80 grams unsalted butter , melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  • 180 grams flour
  • 180 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups cow's milk
  • 100 powdered sugar
  • 50 milliliters water
  • 1 dash lemon

  • We beat the egg mixed with the milk, add it, and incorporate the dry ingredients.
  • We mix well, add the vanilla essence, melted butter, and shredded coconut.
  • Butter and flour the mold of your choice. Then incorporate the preparation, let it cook in the oven at 180°C for 45 minutes and it's ready!
  • To make the icing, mix the powdered sugar in a bowl, along with the water and a splash of lemon. Mix very well until a semi-liquid consistency (somewhat viscous) is obtained. Once the cake is cool, you can drizzle it with the icing.
