Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Walnuts

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter , of 90 grams
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 cup nut , chopped
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • cinnamon powder, ginger, clove, and nutmeg to taste
  • nuts, whole for garnish

  • Beat the butter until creamy.
  • Add the cream cheese bar and mix with 1 cup of sugar gradually while beating.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla, flour, and baking powder gradually until fully combined.
  • In a springform pan, pour half of the mixture.
  • Combine the walnuts, spices, and the remaining sugar in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle half over the mixture in the mold.
  • Pour the rest of the mixture and sprinkle with walnuts and sugar again.
  • Bake at 200 degrees for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry.
  • Let cool completely and carefully unmold.
  • Garnish with whole walnuts.
