Delicious Walnut Cake

  • Cream the butter and add the sugar. Add 2 eggs and then 6 egg yolks one by one, until incorporated.
  • Add the walnuts and the flour sifted with the baking powder. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • Pour into a greased and sugared mold. Bake in the oven at 175°C for approximately 40 minutes. Drizzle with the syrup.
  • For the syrup: mix the water and sugar and heat over low heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and add the sherry.
