2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour, sifted
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cups orange juice
1 orange zest

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Cream the butter and sugar in the mixer.
Add the eggs while continuing to beat.
Gradually add the flour, baking powder, orange zest, and juice.
Grease and flour a baking pan. Pour in the previous mixture and tap it on the table to release the air.
Bake for 45 minutes; after this time, check with the tip of a knife to ensure it's cooked. If not, leave it for 5 more minutes.
