Orange Cake with Ice Cream

The Orange Cake is a classic dessert in our family, try this recipe as it is super easy to make and very delicious.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cups nut , chopped
  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon zest, orange
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups orange juice

  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C. Grease a mold.
  • Mix the baking powder, flour, and salt, sift the mixture, and add chopped nuts.
  • In another bowl, cream the butter with 1 cup of sugar, adding the eggs one at a time. Turn off the mixer and add the orange zest and juice. Gently fold in the dry ingredients with a spatula.
  • Pour the mixture into a mold and bake for 1 hour.
  • Mix 1/2 cup of orange juice with 1/4 cup of sugar in a saucepan. Heat over low until all ingredients are combined. Pour this glaze once the cake comes out of the oven.
