Tangerine Cake

A different dessert that I prepare every time I have guests at my house. I love the sweet and sour combination that tangerines provide.

  • 2 Gloria® unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cups flour , sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cups mandarin orange juice

  • Cream the butter, gradually add the sugar, and once it changes color, incorporate the eggs one by one. Add the vanilla extract. Beat.
  • Incorporate the flour, baking powder, and salt, adding the tangerine juice among the ingredients, and beat until you achieve a uniform mixture.
  • Preheat the oven to 180° C, grease a cake pan, and dust it with flour, giving the bottom of the pan a few taps to remove the excess flour.
  • Place the mixture in the pan and bake for 30 minutes. You can use the wooden stick technique; insert it into the cake, and if it comes out clean, it means it is cooked.
