Homemade Pound Cake

Simple and perfect for breakfast, dinner, or as a dessert. Pair it with a nice cup of coffee.

  • 220 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder, use heaping teaspoons
  • 1 lime juice
  • 1 lime zest
  • raisins, and chopped walnuts
  • icing sugar

  • Cream the butter well in a bowl before adding the sugar. Make sure to create a smooth mixture.
  • Add the eggs and mix. Then add the flour and mix again. Repeat by adding the butter and then the flour.
  • Finally, coat the walnuts and raisins with flour and add them to the mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a bundt pan (previously greased with butter to prevent sticking).
  • Bake at 200ºC for 45 minutes.
