Light Banana Bread

A very delicious low-fat banana bread recipe high in fiber.

  • 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1/4 cups flaxseed
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup banana, ripe mashed bananas
  • 1/2 cups walnuts
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups low-fat plain yoghurt
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • spray oil, pam brand
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

  • Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.
  • Mix the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, flaxseed, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir and make a well in the center of the mixture.
  • In another bowl, place the mashed banana, sugar, walnuts, yogurt, and oil. Stir.
  • Add the banana mixture to the center of the flour and stir until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a long rectangular loaf pan previously greased with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Let it cool for 10 minutes and remove from the mold.
