Sweet Orange Cake with Liqueur

A recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation, a delicious sweet orange cake with a touch of liqueur.

  • 160 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1/2 cups triple sec orange liqueur
  • 3 cups flour , sifted
  • 1 tablespoon zest, orange
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
  • slices orange, to taste

  • Beat the butter until well softened, gradually incorporate the sugar and continue beating. Add the eggs one by one and beat a little more.
  • Sift the dry ingredients and incorporate them into the previous mixture, alternating with the orange juice, add the orange zest and the orange liqueur.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry, unmold and place on a plate with orange slices.
