In the bowl of an electric mixer, mix the cream cheese and shortening until a smooth mixture is formed.
Gradually add the sugar and beat until smooth and fluffy.
Add the eggs, mixing well after each addition.
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat to combine. Gradually add this mixture to the cream cheese mixture, alternating with the milk.
Add the orange zest and mix.
Pour the mixture into the prepared molds, painting one of them green with food coloring.
Set aside the mold with the white mixture. Bake the mold with the green mixture for 45 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.
Cut the green cake into the shape of a Christmas tree, being careful not to break it. Place the green cake into the mold with the white mixture and bake for 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes.
To make the frosting, mix the orange juice with the powdered sugar until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Pour over the cake and sprinkle with gold and silver sprinkles.
