Sandwich Cake

This is a very easy recipe to prepare that you can make with your family and enjoy a delicious dessert together. It’s perfect for a weekend or to share any day of the week. The flavor of dulce de leche will captivate you.

  • 2 pieces of bread, country-style
  • 400 grams dulce de leche
  • 3 eggs
  • 350 milliliters cow's milk
  • 200 milliliters whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 150 grams sugar
  • icing sugar, for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Cut the bread into slices.
  • Spread the slices with dulce de leche. Set aside.
  • Make small sandwiches with the bread you already have and dulce de leche.
  • Place in a greased cake pan.
  • Beat the eggs.
  • Add to the eggs, cream, sugar, milk, vanilla and mix well.
  • Pour the liquid mixture over the sandwiches.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Bake for 40 minutes.
  • When ready, let it rest for 10 minutes and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
