This holiday season, prepare these delicious and fun gingerbread cookies that have that unique and unmatched flavor. The best part is that they are soft and have a simple and cute decoration to surprise your whole family.
In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients very well and set aside.
Cream the butter with the sugar in the mixer for about 3 minutes.
Add the egg yolk, vanilla, honey, and milk and beat until incorporated. Lower the speed and gradually add the dry ingredients while continuing to mix. Incorporate well until a dough is formed.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface. Cut out gingerbread man shapes, Christmas trees, and stars. Place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown at the edges. Cool.
For the glaze, mix in a bowl the powdered sugar with the meringue powder and water.
Decorate the cookies with the glaze and let dry.
