Berliners are sweet dough buns usually filled with jams or sweet creams. This is a dessert originating from German pastry, and with this recipe, you will delight everyone, as they are very easy to make and look spectacular.
1/2 sticks butter, 45 g, at room temperature, for the dough
2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
Smuckers® strawberry jam
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 drop pink food coloring
strawberries, slice, for decoration
granulated sugar, for decoration

Mix the flour, sugar, and yeast in the mixer until combined; add the egg, milk, and knead until you achieve a homogeneous texture.
Add the butter and knead until you obtain a smooth dough; let the dough rest in a bowl covered with non-stick plastic until it doubles in size.
On a floured table or surface, roll out the dough to approximately 5 mm thick and use a round cutter to cut circles; place them on a tray and let rest for 15 minutes.
In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat and fry the Berliners for about 4 minutes on each side, place on paper towels, and let cool.
Using a piping bag and pastry tip, fill the Berliners with Smucker's® strawberry jam; you can use a stick to make the hole.
For the icing, mix the powdered sugar, Smucker's® strawberry jam, lemon juice, and pink dye.
Glaze the donuts with the icing and decorate with strawberry slices and granulated sugar.
