Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and stir.
Add milk, butter, and vanilla, and beat with an electric mixer on low speed until well combined.
Add eggs and beat for 2 more minutes.
Pour the mixture into 2 equal round molds of 22 cm in diameter, previously greased with butter and floured.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
After this time, check that they are well cooked by inserting a toothpick into the cakes; it should come out dry.
Place the molds on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
Then unmold them and let cool on the racks.
Place one cake on the platter, cover it with jam, and put the other cake layer on top.
Sprinkle powdered sugar with a sieve on top.
