Strawberry Meringues

These Strawberry Meringues are the perfect ending to a meal, as they are light, delicious, and very easy to prepare with this baking recipe.

  • 5 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 1/8 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1/4 cups icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons walnuts
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • strawberries, slices for garnish
  • leaves peppermint, (a few leaves) for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 275ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, marking a circle about 20 cm, and spray it with oil like Pam.
  • In a large bowl, beat the egg whites and salt with a mixer on high until soft peaks form. Gradually sprinkle in the cream of tartar and powdered sugar. Add vanilla and beat a little more. Gently fold in the nuts.
  • Remove from the paper and place on a platter, topping with whipped cream mixed with a little sugar and garnishing with strawberries and mint leaves.
