Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a baking sheet with butter.
In a large bowl, mix the two types of sugars, butter, baking soda, vanilla extract, and salt. Once we have a creamy texture, add the egg and continue beating, then add the cups of flour one by one until we achieve a creamy mixture, add the two cups of chocolate chips and mix with a spatula until everything is incorporated.
With the mixture, we will make small balls and place them on the previously greased baking sheet, leaving small spaces in between. Bake the cookies for 12 minutes or until a golden edge is noticeable on the cookies.
We take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool.
