Apples Covered with Pancake Flour

These homemade covered apples are very easy to make, as they are prepared with pancake flour, which we always have at home. This is an easy, quick, and delicious dessert that is fried and covered in dark or white chocolate. It can also work well if you are organizing a party, as it is perfect for candy tables.

  • 2 cups Tres Estrellas® flour for hot cakes, (800 grams)
  • 3/4 cups cow's milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 6 apples, Golden delicious
  • 6 Glorias
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup white chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cups nonpareil sprinkles, colored

  • In a bowl, add the Tres Estrellas® Pancake Flour, milk, eggs, sugar, ground cinnamon, and whisk until you have a homogeneous mixture. Set aside.
  • On a wooden board, peel the apples, core them, fill them with the glories, and insert a skewer. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil over medium heat, dip the apples in the batter, drain the excess batter, and fry for 3 to 5 minutes, turning them on each side for even frying. Place on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
  • Dip in dark and white chocolate, decorate with nuts and colored sprinkles.
  • Place on a tray lined with parchment paper and let dry.
  • Wrap in a cellophane bag and decorate.
