Christmas Charlotte with Rompope and Walnuts

  • 1/2 cups condensed milk
  • 1 cup rompope
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin powder, hydrated
  • 3 cups María cookies
  • 2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
  • walnuts, sliced, for decoration

  • Use a whisk to mix the cream cheese in a bowl until smooth, as this will help avoid lumps in the mixture. When the cheese is smooth, add the condensed milk, the rompope, and mix until combined. Gradually incorporate the hydrated gelatin.
  • Place a thin layer of rompope filling in a square baking dish, then cover with a layer of walnuts, add a layer of Maria cookies, cover with a layer of the rompope mixture, and one of walnuts and one of Maria cookies. Continue until the baking dish is completely covered, finishing with a layer of the rompope mixture. Finally, sprinkle the Christmas charlotte with walnuts and refrigerate for 2 hours.
