Vanilla Floating Gelatin

  • 1 cup cow's milk, for the vanilla gelatin
  • 1/2 cups sour cream, for the vanilla gelatin
  • 3/4 cups condensed milk, for the vanilla gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla essence, for the vanilla gelatin
  • 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin powder, 0.2 oz each, hydrated, for the vanilla gelatin
  • 4 cups water, hot
  • 1 envelope strawberry gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • strawberries, cut into quarters, for garnish

  • For the vanilla gelatin: In a blender, combine milk, sour cream, condensed milk, vanilla essence, and hydrated unflavored gelatin powder. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour mixture into a mold and refrigerate until set.
  • Dissolve strawberry gelatin powder in hot water and add red food coloring. Let cool.
  • Carefully separate vanilla gelatin from the sides of the mold. Pour strawberry gelatin into the mold. The vanilla gelatin should be floating on top of the strawberry gelatin.
  • Refrigerate until set. Unmold and serve sliced vanilla floating gelatin. Garnish with strawberries.
