Vanilla Frosting

It’s a smooth frosting for decorating cupcakes or cakes or whatever you like. You can add food coloring if you wish, but the color is simply beautiful. It's extremely easy and SMOOTH!

2 cups vegetable shortening, crisco
1 stick butter
1/4 cups sour cream, heavy cream
2 tablespoons clear vanilla, no color
2 pounds icing sugar, sifted, measure the amount before sifting

Beat the shortening and butter until smooth.
Add the vanilla and cream (note that the cream depends on the consistency you want) and beat well again.
Add half of the sifted sugar and beat for 5 minutes on medium-low speed.
Add the rest of the sifted sugar and beat again until ready.
