Walnut Icing for Desserts

This walnut icing can be used to prepare a delicious topping for your favorite cupcakes or cakes.

  • 85 grams bittersweet chocolate, in pieces
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cups cow's milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • Add all the ingredients to a pot over high heat, except for the vanilla extract.
  • Cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously. Remove from heat after the time is up and let cool. You can place the pan in a bowl of ice water to speed up the cooling process.
  • Add the vanilla and beat until everything is well mixed, for about 10 minutes until the icing has risen slightly and the color is shiny.
  • Let cool and decorate your favorite cakes.
