  • First, make a cut at the bottom of the watermelon to create a flat surface so it doesn’t move (you should cut very little, just the green/white part).
  • Place the watermelon on a cutting board or a clean, flat surface.
  • With a knife, mark where you will make the first cut from the middle lengthwise (only halfway), and then from there up. You can see photo #2 to see how it should look.
  • Once you have the basic shape of the cart, you need to remove all the fruit from the center. I do this with a round melon baller and scoop out watermelon balls (it looks nicer), but you can really do it however you like.
  • Once the watermelon is clean and empty, take a sharp knife and make cuts in the shape of Vs like this: vvvvvvvvvv to give that texture to all the edges. You can see the original photo to see how it looks.
  • Then, make the handle of the cart from the piece of watermelon that was cut off. Stand up the piece you removed and slice it about 2 cm thick.
  • To attach it, we need to make v cuts, like two VV, so it fits with the help of a toothpick into the watermelon.
  • Then, with toothpicks, attach the wheels and secure them with some grapes (or any fruit you like).
  • Finally, fill it with your favorite fruits: watermelon, melon, pineapple, strawberries, etc.
