Wedding Cupcakes

These rich vanilla cupcakes are topped with vanilla frosting and decorated with lace. They are ideal for a wedding or shower.

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 3/4 tablespoons salt
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 4 cups vanilla frosting, can be bought

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Prepare a baking dish to bake mini cupcakes with the papers (this recipe makes 48 mini cupcakes). Grease with vegetable spray.
  • Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the butter and beat with an electric mixer.
  • Add the eggs, milk and vanilla and beat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into cups filling only half (the cupcakes grow a lot). Bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and unmold, allow to cool.
  • Cut strips of white lace that surround the cupcakes and glue with resistol or silicone.
  • Mix the bitumen with 4 drops of artificial food coloring. Blue dye was used in the photograph. Decorate the cupcakes with a pastry duya.
