First, we start with the cake; beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, gradually add the sugar, and continue beating until it resembles meringue.
Separately, beat the egg yolks and mix them with the egg whites, alternating with the flour.
Grease and flour a long and wide baking dish and pour this mixture into it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
Unmold onto a damp cloth and roll it up with the napkin until cool while preparing the filling cream.
Make a syrup with water and sugar.
Let the syrup boil for about 5 minutes.
In another bowl, beat the yolks until creamy and add them to the warm syrup.
Let it cool and mix with the previously beaten butter in the mixer.
Remove one-third of this cream and place it in the freezer for a while.
Add the melted chocolate to the remaining cream, and it is ready to be added to the cake.
Unroll the cake, soak it in the chosen liquor, then fill it with the chocolate cream and roll it up again.
With the reserved white cream, you can make Christmas figures and place them on the log.
