  • Cream the butter with the yolk in a bowl (using a mixer or manually); when it turns a yellowish color, add the sugar and vanilla while continuing to beat. In another bowl, sift the flour and salt, and gradually add them to the mixture until a manageable ball forms.
  • Place the egg white in a bowl and beat lightly. In another bowl, place the finely chopped nuts. Preheat the oven while we prepare the cookies.
  • Make balls about 1.5 cm in diameter and dip them in the beaten egg white, then roll them in the walnuts to cover the entire surface, and place them on a greased baking tray. Use your index finger to make an indentation (hole) in each one.
  • Cream the butter and powdered sugar, then add the flour, salt, and vanilla essence, continuing to beat. Finally, add the walnuts and mix until integrated.
  • Shape the walnut kisses and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies at 180 °C for 15 minutes.
  • Mix the powdered sugar and cornstarch in a bowl and roll the walnut kisses, freshly out of the oven, in the previous mixture.
